This guide explains how to plan a smooth wedding day timeline with photography coverage that fits the season, light, and your chosen events. It is designed for couples planning a wedding for the first time.
Timeline Building Is Included in my packages!
As part of every wedding photography package, I provide timeline building.
Photography timelines focus on the intimate blocks that must be protected for lighting and privacy.
After the ceremony the day naturally flows faster and becomes more guest-immersive. I “selfishly” reserve quiet time earlier in the day so you can pause, connect with each other, and let those moments sink in.
A second photographer is strongly encouraged if the bride and groom are getting ready at two different properties.

Sample Wedding Day Photography Timeline (6, 7, and 8 hours)
Work backwards from your ceremony start time (C).

Your wedding day will move faster than you imagine. My goal is to help you slow down and savor key moments—the quiet time while getting ready, the excitement of first looks, the breath you take together after the ceremony.
As part of every photography package, I include timeline building focused on these private, time-sensitive blocks. Your planner, coordinator, or DJ will create their own master schedule with more detailed logistics, and they will make the final call on the full-day flow. This layered approach keeps everything coordinated while protecting the private, intimate spaces that make your day unique.
Remember:
Thank you for trusting me to help create a timeline that balances organization with breathing room.
It’s an honor to give you the space to pause, connect, and truly experience the day you’ve planned together!
