Yosemite has a way of making every moment feel bigger. The sweeping cliffs, the golden meadows, the quiet of sunrise—it all sets the stage for unforgettable stories. Madison and John chose this iconic park for their maternity session, and from Glacier Point to the valley floor, it was a morning full of tenderness, adventure, and love. Madison and John celebrated their Yosemite maternity session at sunrise.
The morning began before sunrise, meeting at Glacier Point during blue hour. The cliffs stretched endlessly below, Half Dome stood still, and the park felt untouched in its quiet.
When the sun broke over the horizon, light spilled across the granite. Madison was sunkissed, her belly glowing in the first warmth of the day, while John stood beside her admiring his beautiful wife. It was one of those moments where the setting and the story lined up perfectly.
Sunrise is often the best time because crowds are low to nonexistent. It’s easier to reach popular spots, the atmosphere is calmer and quieter, and you can watch the sun rise behind Half Dome. Glacier Point is accessible by car only from late May through mid-November. The road closes with the first snowfall.

After Glacier Point, we dropped down into Yosemite Valley where the landscape shifted completely. The river cut through the trees and The Three Brothers towered above, giving them a whole new perspective.
Between quiet pauses, Madison and John shared sweet and tender moments—laughing, running through the open space, and slipping into natural, unposed connection. It was playful, yet full of meaning, perfectly capturing their journey into parenthood.

We closed the morning in the meadows, where green grasses stretched out under soft light. The wide-open views offered stillness that balanced the adventurous start to the session.
Madison, sunkissed and glowing, leaned into John as the morning settled. It was the perfect ending—simple, grounding, and filled with anticipation for what’s to come.

Photographing moments like these is always a blessing. Madison and John’s trust allowed me to capture their story honestly, and I’m grateful to have shared this morning with them. Wishing them many blessings and sweet adventures as they step into this next chapter.
